Some neurologists are very specialized and involved in treatment and research, and forward strides are being made, but through this process, Parkinson’s and Parkinson-like diseases have been identified and placed under its name.
In typical cases of Parkinson’s when advanced, motor skills aren’t a thought. Ambulation becomes impossible over time, and they are wheel-chair bound. Reflexes diminished. Facial expression completely lacking. Difficulty trying to speak, swallow and clear throat secretions. Spatial and depth perception is way off. Even blinking is reduced and the eyes may become dry. They don’t seem to relax, but become stiff.
